Dredger Goetz Keeps Mississippi River Open

The dredge fleet operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ St. Paul District performed channel maintenance on the Mississippi River at the St. Paul Barge Terminal, May 20-29.

The fleet consists of the Dredge Goetz, Quarters Boat Taggatz, the Motor Vessel General Warren and floating plant to support dredging operations.

Support plant includes the work boats MV Butler, MV Hooper and MV Fiedler; the Launch Peck, a booster barge, plus fuel barges, cargo barges, anchor barges and floating pipe pontoon boats.
