The second phase of the Hulhumale reclamation project will commence within the next month, the Hulhumale Development Corporation (HDC) announced.
According to Suhail Mohamed, the HDC managing director , only two companies had submitted their proposals for this project.
“ The proposals from these companies are being evaluated. When this concludes, the ground work of the project would be initiated within a month’s time, ” stated Mohamed.
This phase of the Hulhumale project, worth about USD60 million, includes reclaiming 230 hectors of land area, reports haveeru.com.
The mentioned zone is designed to accommodate a population of 100,000 people.
