USA: Corps Presents Lynnhaven Inlet Dredging Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, has introduced a plan for the Lynnhaven Inlet federal navigation channel dredging program.

This deepening work consists of maintenance dredging to required depths of 8,9, and 10 feet MLLW with 2 foot of allowable overdepth.

The project involves removing of approximately 134,350 cubic yards of material from the mentioned area.

The total value is estimated between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the solicitation will be posted on or about 28 June 2013.
