U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, has introduced a plan for the Sunfish Lake dredging program.
The work includes clearing, tree removal, mechanical excavation (dredging), placement site preparation, transporting the material to the placement site, shaping the placed material and a rock closure structure for an overwintering habitat project.
This development project is located at Mississippi River Pool 12 – Sunfish Lake, Jo Daviess County, IL.
The total cost is estimated between $5 mln and $10 mln, and the plans and specifications will be announced on or about 15 July 2013.
