On June 7, CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid for the hydraulic structure works of the general terminal of the Honghuatao operation area of the Yidu zone of Yichang Port in Hubei Province, with a contract value of some 79.36 million yuan and a construction period of 24 months.
Located at Yidu Port, Yichang City, Hubei Province, the terminal is proposed to build a 3000t multi-purpose berth, 2 break bulk berths and a commercial vehicle ro/ro berth with 800 parking lots, with an annual through capacity of 1.66 million tons and 160,000 commercial vehicles. The project involves three high-pile berths, foundation treatment and revetment works, etc.
The project will play a significant role in improving the shipping capacity of the Yangtze River and promoting the social and economic development of the areas along the river.
