USA: Corps to Invite Bidders for Renard Island CDF Project

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, plans to invite bidders for the final closure of the Renard Island Confined Disposal Facility (CDF), located in Green Bay, WI.

This development program includes excavation, hauling, and placement of approximately 260,000 cubic yards of sediment. Dredged material will be hauled from Cell 7 of the Bayport Facility to Renard Island CDF.

Work will also include abandonment of existing dredge pipeline and weir structures.

The estimated value is between $1 mln and $5 mln, and approximate solicitation posting date will be August 2013.
