Ocean to Expand Dredging Activities in Mexico

The Prime Minister of Quebec, Pauline Marois, initiated a trade mission with 56 delegates from Quebec businesses interested in developing business in Mexico.

Ocean is part of this mission in order to expand the dredging activities of its trailing suction hopper barge Ocean Traverse Nord in Mexico.

Ocean took the opportunity to find a business partner.

Jean-Philippe Brunet, Vice President for Corporate and Legal Affairs, during an interview with the daily newspaper Le Soleil said: “The Mexicans usually deal with people that they know. Ocean is not known to them, a relationship based on trust is not yet established. With a partner, it gives us an opportunity to bid on public tenders in Mexico. Mr. Brunet is confident of the probity of the dredging activities in the Vera Crux area, where the Mexican oil monopoly Pemex is very active.”
