OCCA to Discuss Dredging in Ocean City

The Ocean City Community Association will meet 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Ocean City Library, 1735 Simpson Ave., to discuss back bay dredging, coastal cottages, and emergency response team, with presentations by City Councilman Antwan McClellan, retired Ocean City detective Scott Morgan and retired Philadelphia firefighter Jerry Bonner.

OCCA members and prospective members are invited.

The beach project is seen as vital to the economy of Ocean City and other shore towns that rely on summer visitors to thrive.

OCCA works to ensure that the traditional family resort character of Ocean City is maintained through continuing efforts to preserve neighborhoods, beaches, boardwalk, bay and lagoons.
