Corps Announces Details of St. Augustine Inlet Dredging Program

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has announced a plan for the St. Augustine Inlet maintenance dredging program.

This development project includes maintenance dredging of shoaled material from the St. Augustine Inlet entrance channel with the placement onto the stretches south of St. Augustine Inlet.

During the program, approximately 116,000 cubic yards of sand will be removed from the mentioned area.

The estimated value of the St. Augustine Inlet dredging contract is between $1 mln and $5 mln.

The proposals are due on or about August 22, 2013.
