USA: Indian Lake to Get New Dredger

Dredger Brutus

According to Ohio Department of Natural Resources officials, a new custom-made dredger will be handed over to Indian Lake by mid-2014.

This information was announced to the Indian Lake area residents and visitors last week, during an open house at the state park campground in Lakeview, reports examiner.org.

The Logan County’s four state lawmakers, Senators Keith Faber, R-Celina, and Cliff Hite, R-Findlay, and Representatives John Adams, R-Sidney, and Robert Sprague, R-Findlay, worked together to secure funding for this highly needed piece of dredging equipment.

The new dredger, similar to Ellicott’s Model 460S, named “Brutus” and presented on Grand Lake St. Marys in April 2012, is expected to be in service by mid-2014.
