Germany: HPA to Invite Bids for Silt Management Program

The Hamburg Port Authority AöR has introduced a plan to invite bids for the construction of a sludge landfill with ancillary facilities for disposal of dredged silt from European and Hamburg waters.

This development program will include:

– Incorporation of largely dehydrated, polluted silt including seal between base and upper gasket method in drainage layers of sand;

– Installation and infrastructure of a drainage system;

– Transport of sand and silt,

– Earthmoving works.

The scheduled start date of award procedures is October 25, 2013.
