New Contracts for CCCC Shanghai Dredging

CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. has recently signed three dredging projects consecutively in South America, with a total contract value of 79.05 million US dollars.

On September 27, the company built a consortium with three Argentinean companies for restorative dredging of the approach channel of a local port and the zone reserved for sedimentation, the dredging depth of the main channel and the zone reserved for sedimentation is -11.6 meters and -10.6 meters respectively, the dredging volume is 900,000 cubic meters, the contract is around 18.75 million US dollars, and the effective construction period is 90 days.

On September 30, the company, along with its partner DTA, Brazil, conducted maintenance dredging of terminal berths, basins and approach channels of the Alfa, Bravo and Charlie sections of Port of Paranagua as well as the Delta section of the approach channel of Port of Antonina, with a total dredging volume of 7.7 million cubic meters, a contract value of some 52 million US dollars and a construction period of 13 months. The project is scheduled to commence in mid-November.

On October 1, the company teaming up with a company in Rio won the bid for a Brazilian project. With a contracted dredging volume of 800,000 cubic meters, the project will be implemented in two phases. With a dredging volume of 400,000 cubic meters and a dredging depth of -10 meters, Phase 1 involves the approach channel, basin and front part of the terminal. With a dredging volume of 400,000 cubic meters and a dredging depth of -11 meters, Phase 2 involves the approach channel, basin and front part of the terminal.

With a contract value of some 8.3 million US dollars, the project is scheduled to commence in early October. The signing of the three projects will lay a solid foundation for the company to further consolidate its South American market and implement its overseas strategy.
