Officials Announce Jutland Dredging Program

Kystdirektoratet has announced a plan for the Jutland dredging program.

This work will include coastal renourishment at the west coast of Jutland and maintenance dredging in pre-defined port and harbour basins, entrances and navigation channels primarily along the west coast of Jutland and in Limfjorden.

The contract will be entered for a 5 year period with the possibility of prolonging the contract for one further year.

The sand for this project will be extracted from selected zones in the North Sea at a water depth of approx. 25-30m and 15-20 km from the coast.

The estimated volume of sand and harbour sediment per year for all the dredging tasks will be approx. 2,000,000m3 (average for the past 10 years).
