FalFoE Holds Public Meeting on Falmouth Dredging

Falmouth Friends of the Earth (FalFoE) held a public meeting on 22nd November to increase local understanding of some of the environmental and other issues surrounding the proposed dredging of a deep channel in Falmouths inner harbour.

Despite ferocious storms and local flooding, the Poly Arts Centre was bursting to its capacity of 180, keen to hear from Jean-Luc Solandt, Marine Policy Officer for the Marine Conservation Society, marine biologist Miles Hoskin, and local fisherman Dave Thomas, who all delivered blistering critiques of the scheme.

FalFoE are now planning teh next stages of their campaign to halt the project.
