Waterways Ireland has announced a tender for the Upper River Bann dredging project.
This deepening program will include removal of deposited bed material from the Upper River Bann at Drumaheglis, Ballymoney and The Cutts, Coleraine.
Approximately 3500m3 of material will be removed during this cleanup work.
The contract will be awarded in early January 2014 to ensure a completion date for all site works by 14th March 2014 at Drumaheglis and 15th April 2014 at The Cutts.
The project will be jointly funded by Waterways Ireland and Ballymoney Borough Council, and the tender deadline is December 13, 2013.
