West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging 2014 Scheme Introduced.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, has announced a plan for the West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging 2014 scheme.

This deepening program will include maintenance dredging at the San Francisco Mainship Channel, Humboldt Bay, Mouth of Columbia River, and selected Columbia River areas.

During the West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging 2014 project, approximately 3,500,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from the mentioned locations.

The dredging work will probably commence on May 15, 2014, and the completion date is not determined yet.

The total cost will be between $10 mln and $25 mln, and the bid opening is scheduled for March 12, 2014.
