The Deputies Sergey Grinevetsky and Yuriy Kruk developed a bill that proposes creation of a special (free) economic zones in Odessa and Reni (Odessa region).

Amendments to the Law “On special (free) economic zone «Porto-Franko» on the territory of Odessa Commercial Sea Port” and “On special economic zone “Reni”, concerning the regulation of investment activity, in accordance with the Explanatory Notes to the bills, should “contribute to the development of ports and traffic as well as attract new investment”.

According to the Bill, the strategic objectives in the short term is to achieve such a level of development of Odessa and Reni, that could ensure their functioning as full members of international transport system.
