DHI to Host Hydraulic Modelling Conference in Jakarta

DHI Water and Environment will host a 2 day conference in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 10th and 11th February 2014. The objective of the workshop is to highlight the application of hydraulic modelling using DHI MIKE software to challenging water related problems in the marine, terrestrial and urban water environments.

Amongst others, the workshop will include presentations on application of MIKE models to environmental management of dredging operations near sensitive ecosystems, met ocean studies as part of conceptual design for port and reclamation projects, applications to the oil and gas industry and more generally to modelling of storm surge, cyclone, and tsunami warning systems.

The conference will also include a presentations of new software features and technologies by DHI’s modelling experts.

The 2 day conference will be followed by a separate 2 day course for users of MIKE 21 software. This two-day, hands-on course will teach participants the fundamentals of 2D hydrodynamic modelling (HD) and introduce how to set up a hydrodynamic model using the MIKE 21 Flow Model HD FM model using flexible mesh bathymetry.

DHI would like to invite interested industry colleagues and MIKE by DHI users to attend this conference and follow on training course. The conference will feature numerous opportunities for exchanging ideas, improving knowledge and extending simulation skills in applications of numerical modelling and to simply meet the DHI Indonesia team.
