Association Portuaire de Grande-Vallée Gets Financial Assistance

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announced that the Association portuaire de Grande-Vallée received financial assistance to modernize its harbour facilities.

This support, granted in the form of a $63,657 non-repayable financial contribution, was awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

The project involved renovating 33 of the port’s existing mooring docks to bring them into compliance with safety standards.

Four new breakwaters were also added to complete the infrastructure improvements to the marina.

With this more than $195,000 investment in the community, local and visiting users of the marina will now have access to modern and upgraded harbour facilities.

By supporting this renovation project of the Association portuaire de Grande-Vallée, our Government is fulfilling its commitment to help improve the quality of life in our communities,” said Lebel.
