Germany: Prerow Replenishment Project Set for November

The National Board of Agriculture and Environment of Central Mecklenburg has introduced a plan for the Prerow replenishment project.

Under the replenishment program the works will cover dredging, transport and deposition of approximately 250,000m3 of sand from designated areas in the Baltic Sea onto the Prerow coastal area.

This plan will also consist of dredging, transport and placement of approximately 500,000m3 of sand from deposits on the Baltic Sea beach onto the Hiddensee shoreline area.

The estimated start of this project is September 15, and the completion is scheduled for November 30, 2014.
