Wolf Lake Hosts Hearing on River Training Structure Projects

A public hearing on two draft Environmental Assessments for river training structure construction activities on the Mississippi River is scheduled for today, in Shawnee High School Library, 3365 N Illinois Route 3, Wolf Lake, Ill.

The Environmental Assessments are for the Grand Tower Phase 5 Project and the Dogtooth Bend Phase 5 Project, part of the St. Louis District’s Regulating Works program. The hearing provides an opportunity for public review and comment on the proposed projects.

Information on the projects, including supporting documents and maps, will be available from 6-7 p.m. prior to the public hearing. Subject matter experts will also be available to discuss the projects.
