Corps Prepares Savannah and Brunswick Dredging Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is conducting preliminary research to determine the market capabilities of potential contractors to perform maintenance dredging in the Savannah and Brunswick entrance channels.

During the cleanup program about 2 to 3 million cubic yards of material will be removed using hopper dredgers.

A specific area, identified by USACE in consultation with EPA, within the Offshore Dredge Material Disposal Sites (ODMDS) will be designated for material dumping.

All interested firms have until 12 March to submit the necessary information to USACE District, Savannah.
