Sacramento and Stockton Ship Channels in Need for Dredging

A dredging project in the Sacramento and Stockton deep water ship channels will cost between USD 10 mln and 30 mln, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District.

The time window for dredging in these areas, California’s Sacramento and San Joaquin River Delta, is from August 1 through November 30, each year, because of endangered species.

Anticipated solicitation issue date will be in April 2014, and the estimated proposals due date will take place in May 2014.

So far, approximately 200,000 to 400,000 cubic yards of shoaled material has been dredged annually.
