Meemu atoll Muli reclamation project contract was signed on 11th March 2014.
The ceremony which was held at the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure was attended by Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, MP Ahmed Nazim, Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, Mr. Ahmed Shiyam Ali and Meemu atoll council members.
On behalf of the Government, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu signed the contract agreement while Chief Executive officer of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, Mr. Ahmed Shiyam Ali, signed on behalf of MTCC.
Under the agreement reclamation works of the island will be carried out by the contractor, MTCC.
The project, which is funded by Government of Maldives, would cost MRF 159,182,664.49 and the works have to be completed within 365 days.
