“Responsible Design of Dredging Projects” Takes Place in Canada

Responsible Design of Dredging Projects

In addition to the upcoming DREDGING SUMMIT & EXPO 2014, June 15-18 in Toronto, Canada, the Western Dredging Association (WEDA) will hold a short course named “Responsible Design of Dredging Projects”.

This will be an educational course about the practical aspects of conducting dredging in a responsible manner to avoid misunderstandings between responsible entities planning and conducting dredging projects.

The topics which will be addressed are geotechnical sampling requirements, excavation and transport by mechanical and hydraulic methods, selection of placement areas and modeling, and meeting effluent quality needs.
