Ireland: Dunmore East Harbour Gets Dredging Money

Dunmore East Harbour Gets Dredging Money

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine allocated €4,688,000 for the Dunmore East Harbour dredging project.

The build-up of silt meant that larger vessels were finding it difficult to get into the harbour, so this work will resolve that.

The dredging of the harbour has been an issue that was raised very strongly in the last general election and Ciara Conway T.D. has been pushing at national level to have the work done as a matter of urgency.
