Ust-Luga Seaport Territory Increases

By Rosmorrechflot regulation, dated 27. February 2014, No. AD-99-r, information on Ust-Luga Seaport in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation was amended.

The amendments precise the technical characteristics of Ust-Luga Seaport and include information on the new marine terminal for transshipment and fractionation of stable gas condensate and products in Ust-Luga Seaport and information on the operator of the terminal.

In accordance with the amendments the seaport territory increased by almost 51 hectares, the water area by 0.03 square kilometres and the berth wall of Ust-Luga Seaport by 544 metres.

The new marine terminal in Ust-Luga Seaport started its operation successfully due to the massive dredging, which had been conducted by the North-West Basin Branch in the seaport water area. The seabed level was degraded up to -15.6 and -17.1 metres.

These levels allow vessels with deadweight up to 70 tons and draught up to 15 metres approach the berths of the new marine terminal.
