Corps Prepares Raritan River to Arthur Kill Cut-Off Dredging Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, said that maintenance dredging of the Raritan River to Arthur Kill Cut-Off area will be undertaken this summer.

The estimated cost of this project is between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the bid opening date will be on or about 27 May 2014.

The Government plans to award this contract in June and issue the Notice to Proceed on or about 26 June 2014.

The contractor will need to remove about 271,000 cubic yards of sediment from these areas and to achieve a depth of 20 ft below Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) with 2 ft allowable overdepth.
