USACE Prepares for Detroit River Dredging Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, made plans to invite contractors for the Detroit River maintenance dredging program.

The areas that will be dredged are specified by the Government.

During this cleanup project, water samples will be collected at the overflow weir, stored and analyzed by the Government.

The estimated cost of dredging work is between $1 mln and $5 mln.

The solicitation is expected to be available in May 2014, and the contract award will be in July 2014.
