Port of Oswego Dredging Project Experiences Delays

The Port of Oswego dredging project has experienced some delays in start up.

Instead of its scheduled start on June 01, the project will begin in the middle of June, LocalSYR reported.

The dredging project at the Port of Oswego should last for a month, and the aim of the project is to allow more vessels in and unload goods which could mean more jobs for the area.

According to Army Corps more than 72,000 cubic yards of sediment must be dredged from the harbor every three to four years.
