The existing quay of Port Victoria, the main port of the Seychelles and the only port that can handle the import and export of goods for the country, is in need of urgent repair work.

The port is facing congestion due to the high demand for the limited berthing space available.

Due to these issues, The European Investment Bank has announced a tender for a port expansion feasibility study.

The services required are the identification of the optimal scope and timing of the proposed investments, a detailed feasibility study, preliminary design and environmental and social impact assessment and procurement strategy.

The contract value is EUR 700,000 and the project is expected to last 15 months from the date of contract award.

The tenders deadline is July 01, 2014.
