Corps Invites Public Input on Pool 6 Environmental Assessment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on the draft Pool 6environmental assessment for the beneficial use of dredged material.

The Corps is proposing to place dredged material at two new sites in Pool 6.

One of the locations will be used to restore a portion of land that has eroded at the head of Mosquito Island downstream of Winona, Minnesota, at river mile 721.9.

The other location will be used to fill a basin in an industrial park owned by the city of Winona, Minnesota.
