Picture of the Day: Dredger at Work in Dillingham Harbor (USA)
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, commenced their annual maintenance dredging operations in harbors across the state.
Shown here, contractors operate the “Alaskan Eagle” as it positions the cutter-head pipeline dredge in Dillingham Harbor. The harbor is scheduled to have up to 95,000 cubic yards of material removed from the basin.
