Tropical Storm Arthur Poses Threat to Folly Beach Renourishment

Tropical storm Arthur is posing a threat to the recently done Folly Beach renourishment project.

The $30.7million worth project was finalized on June 15.

Some 1.5 million cubic yards of sand dredged from the seafloor were placed along the coast to provide storm protection.

As abcnews4 reports, officials took pictures of the beach pre-storm, so they could be used in damage assessment after the storm passes.
