Meeting on Boardman River Restoration Project Set for August

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, will co-host a public information session on a proposed ecosystem restoration project on the Boardman River.

USACE has completed the feasibility study on the proposed project and in cooperation with Grand Traverse County, the City of Traverse City, URS Corp. (USACE Contractor), Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, State of Michigan, and Grand Traverse Conservation District will be available at an open house information session to answer questions about the project.

USACE and its local partners’ public information session will be held:

Date: Thursday, August 7, 2014;

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.;

Location: Grand Traverse County Civic Center, 1213 W Civic Center Dr, Traverse City, Michigan 49686.

This public information session is scheduled to allow the public to learn more about the overall project and ask any questions they may have, and in addition, if the public has verbal or written comments they may provide them at that time.

USACE is accepting comments on this project now through August 15, 2014.
