The International Symposium on Sediment Dynamics: From the Summit to the Sea (December 11-14, 2014) is part of a series of symposia organized under auspices of The International Commission on Continental Erosion (ICCE), which is one of ten commissions of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).
The ICCE 2014 Symposium will be held in the City of New Orleans near the mouth of the Mississippi River, which is built on thousands of years of riverine sediment. The conference aims to provide an international forum for the dissemination and exchange of current art, science and technology on erosion, sediment transport, and interrelationships between them and the environment.
The symposium will stimulate dissemination and promote interactions of interdisciplinary research on physical, biogeochemical, and socioeconomic solutions related to complex environmental systems.
