Van Oord Bags Capital Projects in Brazil and The Bahamas

Van Oord, a leading international contractor specialising in dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects, has won two orders in Brazil and the Bahamas. The activities involve dredging work for the construction of a new shipyard in Aracruz, Brazil.

 

Nicaragua Canal Project Presented to Private Entrepreneurs

Upon request of the Superior Council of the Private Enterprise (COSEP), a group of top managers and engineers from HKND and ERM recently made a four hour long presentation to more than 200 members of COSEP and the Nicaraguan Council of Small and Medium Enterprises (CONIMIPYME) on the Integrated Development Project of the Grand Canal of Nicaragua.

 

GLDD Nabs Land Reclamation Contract in Bahrain

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation, the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental and remediation services, announced the award of a contract valued at approximately $35 million with the Ministry of Works in Bahrain.

 

Slovenia: Koper Dredging Project in Full Swing

The Port of Koper dredging scheme is moving forward. The second, larger dredger, owned by the Netherlands-based contractor Van Oord, yesterday commenced dredging works aimed at the seabed deepening along the Container Terminal to 14 metres.

 

The Netherlands: Boskalis to Undertake IJsseldelta Project

The Dutch Department of Public Works and the province of Overijssel have announced that they intend to award the contract for the IJsseldelta polder to Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V.
