Isabella County Parks and Recreation Commission was recently awarded a grant from the Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network.

Funds from this grant will be used to purchase new dock sections, including an EZ launch for canoes and kayaks.

This purchase is a part of the Coldwater Lake Family Park Boat Launch: Accessibility and Multi-Use Improvements project.

This project is to be implemented next year, along with other boat launch improvements that include: ramp replacement, dredging, and access expansion.

The Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network focuses on opportunities to better link the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of Saginaw Bay communities in order to sustain and improve the region’s quality of life.
