TID to Hold Project Staff Training in November

There are still places available on the Training Institute for Dredging’s (TID) Project Staff Training that will take place from 3 to 7 November 2014 at the company’s premises in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands.

This five-day course is based on earlier successful tailor-made training programs organised by the TID at the request of its broad customer base. It has been designed specifically to improve the skills of project engineers, superintendents and project managers with up to three years’ experience in dredging.

The Project Staff Training is focused on operational management roles in dredging operations. It allows the participants to expand and improve their knowledge and skills for managing a project, based on the hard numbers relating to each project. The main topics to be covered are working methods, production and cost calculations, planning, effective communication, and reporting and responding to opportunities and threats.

The interactive program incorporates classroom-based training, supported by practical case studies, workshops and discussions. The case studies are used to illustrate the subject matter and ensure that participants can apply this knowledge into practical everyday working scenarios.
