Cocoa Beach Dredging Enters Next Phase

Cocoa Beach Dredging Enters Next Phase

The first phase of the City of Cocoa Beach 200 Channel dredging project has been completed and the phase II of the project is about to begin.

Phase II of the project is the construction of a dredge spoil site on a designated North Thousand Island.

The chosen island is at the end of Cocoa Isles Boulevard. The construction company, TSI Disaster Recovery, has the authority to be on the island with equipment and all permits are in order for the preparation of the spoil site.

The island is now considered a “Construction Site,” therefore any unauthorized person will be prosecuted for trespassing, and if vandalism occurs, arrested.
