Kananook Creek Dredging Makes Progress

Kananook Creek Dredging Makes Progress

Dredging of the channel at the mouth of Kananook Creek is underway and will continue until the 24 October.

Regular dredging will occur each month and this current cycle has been extended due to high wind resulting in delays and above average sand deposition.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the works.

Kananook Creek runs parallel to the coastline linking Seaford Wetlands to Frankston Foreshore. Greatly disturbed by past development, today the creek is in much better condition and is home to many indigenous plants and animals.
