Officials to Discuss Ports Infrastructure Needs

Three U.S. East Coast port directors will come together for a roundtable discussion on March 24 at JAXPORT’s 2015 Logistics & Intermodal Conference.

JAXPORT’s CEO Brian Taylor will be joined by Curtis Foltz, Executive Director, Georgia Ports Authority and Paul Cozza, CEO, North Carolina State Ports Authority for a candid conversation about common issues facing East Coast ports.

The panel will be moderated by Dean Tracy, Director International Transportation, Lowe’s Companies, Inc.

Although East Coast ports compete, we also share common challenges, including ongoing infrastructure needs, limited funding, labor considerations as well as carriers and shippers seeking increased efficiencies,” said Taylor. “The roundtable gives us the opportunity to discuss how our ports are addressing these issues and share best practices with each other and the conference attendees.”

The East Coast Port Directors roundtable is part of a series of panel discussions and keynote presentations at the conference. While the focus of the conference will be on challenges and benefits facing shippers through southern ports, speakers from around the country will discuss issues common to all logistics and intermodal decision makers.

Registration is now open for the conference, which will be held March 23-25 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
