VIDEO: ‘Prins der Nederlanden’ at Maasvlakte 2

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has released a video about the 2014 maintenance campaign by trailing suction hopper dredger Prins der Nederlanden in Maasvlakte 2, Port of Rotterdam.

Maasvlakte 2 is the extension of the Port of Rotterdam. Directly to the west of the current port and industrial area, a new top European location for port operations and industry was created in the North Sea.

In 2008, after an international tender procedure, the building consortium PUMA (Projectorganisatie Uitbreiding Maasvlakte) landed the contract for the construction of the first phase.

PUMA is a joint venture of the dredging companies Boskalis and Van Oord.
