International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) hosted its international course named “The Hydraulic Fill Manual” on November 20-21, 2014, in Delft, the Netherlands.

This course has covered the initiation, design and construction of hydraulic fill projects as described in the recently published Hydraulic Fill Manual.

Without proper hydraulic fill and suitable specialized equipment, major infrastructure projects such as ports, airports, roads, industrial or housing projects cannot be realized.

The attendees have learned the basics of monitoring and quality control and how to prepare appropriate specifications for the construction of a hydraulic fill.
