Van Oord’s Flood Prevention Campaign in Russia

Van Oord, one of the world’s leading contractors for dredging, marine engineering and offshore energy sectors, is considering the possibility of dredging the Russian rivers.

The company’s branch manager for Russia, Anko Bos said today at the II International Forum of Dredging Companies that Van Oord is looking into operating at Russian rivers.

According to him, the Company possesses technologies which can prevent river overflows caused by deposited sediment and damaging floods.

Van Oord is one of the world’s leading contractor for dredging, marine engineering and offshore energy projects (oil, gas and wind). The company, operating worldwide in more than fifty countries, offers innovative solutions to marine challenges.

The II International Forum of Dredging Companies, supported by IADC and Association of see commercial ports of Russia and organized by the “PortNews” Media-Group started this morning, February 19th 2015 in Moscow.
