Tamar River Dredging Kicks Off

The Kings Wharf Launceston dredging scheme on the Tamar River has officially started.

The completion of this dredging program is scheduled for Tuesday, 31 March 20015, according to the Marine and Safety Tasmania.

Dredging operations will take place on the eastern side of the Tamar River adjacent to Kings Wharf.

The dredge ‘Mili Mili’ and associated pipework will be anchored on the eastern edge of the channel.

Pipe position will be marked with yellow flotation buoys and red navigation lights.
