Last Saturday, March 7th, Croatian shipbuilder “Uljanik” held launching ceremony for Jan De Nul Group’s new multipurpose vessel, the Isaac Newton.
The state-of-the-art ship can be deployed on a variety of projects: installing subsea cables, trench dredging and subsea rock installation.
In cable-installation mode, the vessel has the capacity to transport and lay cable in a single length with a total weight of approximately 10,000 tonnes, which is more than any other vessel currently available.
The Isaac Newton is planned to sail out for her maiden voyage in the course of August 2015.
