Dragflow Dredging Pumps for New Suez Canal

Dragflow has supplied two high head dredging pumps (HY85B) with two excavators (EXHY20) for one of the biggest contractors working in the tunneling part of the Suez Canal Development Project. These pumps will work at 44 m depth.

This capital project will involve the construction of a tunnel south of  Port Said under the Suez Canal to easily connect the two areas east and west of the Suez Canal.

A new water outlet will be constructed on the Ismailia Canal to reach the water treatment plant east of the canal and supply new developmental areas in the canal.

Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish recently said that the dredging works on the new waterway scheme will be finalized before the deadline.

Some of the world’s top dredging companies are taking part in this capital project which is designed to enlarge the transit capacity and to increase industrial activity in the area.
