Van der Leun, a Sliedrecht-based company involved in electrical installations of buildings and industries, marine electrical contracting and metal works, has announced that a newly built switchboard is ready for action.

This switchboard will be installed on board CCCC Guangzhou Dredging’s new vessel, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), that is being built at Royal IHC’s yard in Kinderdijk.

With a capacity of 21.000m³ this is one of the largest trailing suction hopper dredger that Royal IHC has ever build.

The switchboard has an overall length of 13 meters and contains the distribution of the incoming transformer fields, aux. generator, shore supply and emergency generator.

Royal IHC is focussed on the continuous development of design and construction activities for the specialist maritime sector.
