Causeway Bay Dredging Works Underway

The Hong Kong Marine Department has just announced that marine works in Causeway Bay Tayphoon Shelter, which involve dredging operations, will be carried out for the next two months.

The works will be performed by one derrick barge with three tugs providing assistance. A working area of approximately 20 meters around the barge will be established.

A large piece of netting used to contain mud and sediments, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be established within the working area. Yellow markers fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the extent of the silt curtain.
